Will Nelson graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with bachelor of arts degrees in Political Science and History. During his tenure at UCLA, Mr. Nelson served as chairman of the Board of Governors of the John Wooden Center. Mr. Nelson attended the University of San Diego School of Law where he earned highest marks in European Economic Community Law and Advanced Trial Skills. While attending classes at the University of San Diego, Mr. Nelson served as chairman of the Dean’s Advisory Council. Mr. Nelson received the Distinguished Service Award from the School of Law at graduation in 1994.

Will Nelson has a diverse legal background including service as a state prosecutor, as a public defender and in private practice in Florida and California.
Mr. Nelson has both prosecuted cases and defended cases in courts in each of the four counties within Florida’s First Judicial Circuit.
During his tenure with the Office of the State Attorney, Will Nelson served as a special prosecutor handling high profile and complex cases and also as the supervising felony prosecutor in the Santa Rosa County division of the Office of the State Attorney.
Mr. Nelson has represented clients in domestic violence cases and in matters relating to restraining orders and injunctions. These types of cases involve both family law and criminal subject matter and have led Mr. Nelson to focus more of his time on family law matters which include divorce, paternity, child support, alimony, child custody and related matters.
Mr. Nelson also assists clients with guardianship matters and with changes to estate planning documents such as wills, living wills and health care surrogates which result from divorce actions, paternity designations and other life changing events.
